I found your blog through Portland Maine Daily Photo...I'm a photographer in the Rockland area.
I completely agree. It was unnerving being on facebook and seeing the same exhausted pose after another. Granted, not everyone is a fashion photographer with studio lighting and a Mark II, but a little creativity would've been nice to see. I recently deleted my facebook, and about 75% of the reason was because my news feed would be overwhelmed with drunk girl self-portraits.
LOL! Brilliant post. I really can't stand these self-portraits - they've been flooding deviantart! Hopefully they'll read your tips.
